Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons revive the GRAMMY Awards with an epic mashup performance.
Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons may sound like an odd pairing but both acts effortlessly complimented each other on stage at the 56th annual Grammy Awards.
The performance kicked off with Imagine Dragons performing a line from their Record Of The Year-nominated single, “Radioactive,” and then quickly transitioned to Kendrick’s energetic track, “m.A.A.d city,” off his Album Of The Year-nominated album, good kid, m.A.A.d city. Then it went back to “Radioactive” and then Kendrick dropped a quick monologue which turned into a verse and then it went back to “Radioactive” and by then all of our minds exploded.
Following a stellar Grammy performance, Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar release the official remix to “Radioactive.”
Macklemore says he “robbed” Kendrick Lamar at Grammys in text message. He released a screen shot of a text message he says he sent K.Dot after the award show.
“You got robbed. I wanted you to win. You should have. It’s weird and sucks that I robbed you. […] Appreciate you as an artist and as a friend.”
My text to Kendrick after the show. He deserved best rap album… I’m honored and completely blown away to win anything much less 4 Grammys. But in that category, he should have won IMO. And that’s taking nothing away from The Heist. Just giving GKMC it’s proper respect.. With that being said, thank you to the fans. You’re the reason we were on that stage tonight. And to play Same Love on that platform was a career highlight. The greatest honor of all. That’s what this is about. Progress and art. Thank you. #grammys
