Eminem releases his new video “Rap God”, directed by Rich Lee. The clip, that features him rocking a black suit and a pair of black shades, was shot in Detroit. “Rap God” is produced by DVLP. Get the track here.
For his “Rap God” video, Eminem channels 1980s television character Max Headroom. Headroom was a futuristic, computer-generated television played by Canadian actor Matt Frewer. The “Max Headroom” show was a hit for two seasons in 1987 and 1988 and the character was even used to in a 1980s Coca-Cola campaign.
Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers 2” has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200. After 2 weeks the album has been certified platinum. “MMLP2” sold 1,124,000 copies in 3 weeks.
